Example 2: Store owner in downtown Terrapin
- Attention: To get the attention of the city council, I would start with a fact about the amount of small businesses which have been forced to close. This fact would be specific to Terrapin, and would grab the attention of the city council by startling the council members.
- Interest: Here, I would bring in the new parking ban, discussing an overview of how it might be affecting businesses in the area. It would be key to include evidence that this is actually happening, and maybe a case story or two.
- Desire: Here, I would discuss the economic benefits that would come to Terrapin should this ban be lifted, painting Terrapin as a cute downtown, drawing in people from neighboring communities.
- Action: I would ask the city council to please consider lifting the parking ban, restating a few of my key arguments, and ending in a very friendly way
